Angry

Kerry is too slow to be a good politician in the internet/cable news age. He waited way too long to address the Swift Boat liars and yes, took too long to apologize. You have to deliver your message immediately before the media hysteria explodes.

- John Kerry 10/30/06

What an absolutely disgraceful thing to say about the people who defend his rights on a daily basis. One can only assume that he finally has shown his true feelings in regards to the military. It's nice to know that one of the leaders of our nation feels that everyone who is (or was) in the military are a bunch of uneducated dolts who are incapable of being smart.

Then to make matters even better (or is it worse I'm not sure since I am so stupid), instead of apologizing he gets all beligerent and starts attacking the Republicans and says that anyone who thinks he is critisizing the troops is crazy.

"If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq -- and not the president who got us stuck there -- they're crazy,"

- John Kerry 10/31/06

It's nice to be considered crazy and stupid (or is it uneducated) by someone who has had everything handed to him his whole life. You know, not everyone can have rich parents who pay to send you to an Ivy League school and then marry into even more money. Some of us actually have to work for a living and we chose a job field that included us fighting (and sometimes dying) so he can have the right to sound like an elitist snob who doesn't give a crap about the "little guy".

I am also going to assume that since he is "one of the voices" of the Democratic party and since no one in the Democratic leadership has stepped up to condemn his statements, one can only conclude that this how the Democratic party feels about the men and women who put their lives on the line day in and day out.

You would think that the other leaders in the Democratic Party would pull him aside and make him apologize for his "botched joke", but, once again, the Dems are showing their complete and utter distain for the men and women who are on the front lines in the battle of freedom.

But, then again what do I know. I'm just uneducated and lazy. John Kerry said so.

What a load of crap.

Our president was home snorting cocaine going awol while Kerry was on the swift boat. Our president wouldn't know what a swiftboat was if it were floating in his swimming pool. Our president hasn't been within 5,000 miles of a piece of schrapnel

gunslinger, what you wrote was one of worst fucking pieces of shit I've ever seen.

There will NEVER be someone in the Bush family put in harms way. But you can be assured there will be Bush's lieing to needlessly send our brave troops off to their deaths. 3,000 at last count.

I'd say 3,000 deaths due to a liar is a LOT fucking worse than a stupid joke. I'd say changing your reason for a botched war is SO much more insulting to our troops than a botched joke. I'd say staying the course with a botched war plan is worse than a botched joke.

I think your sense of proportion is insulting.

Yeah, that last time I checked, the Bush family is one of the the most elite northeastern Ivy League families. W could never have gotten into Harvard and Yale without his family ties.

Your post was amazing. Just amazing.

Ok, dimbulb, how in the hell did you get all of that out of my being angry at Kerry for calling me and my borthers-in-arms stupid? Oh, that's right, you're as much of a narrow minded, left wing elitist bigot as he is.

You need to remember something and remember it well. Those incredibly brave men and women are over there fighting so you don't have too. Lies or not, bad intelligence or not (intel BTW that the Democratic leadership saw and said was good before the invasion), they are over there fighting and defending your right to act like an ass and insult them. People like me and them are the ones who give you your freedom. I gave six years of my life doing it, my father spilled blood in Vietnam doing it and my uncle, who my mom named me after, died for it. I have friends who have "played in the sandbox" over there and I have friends who are getting ready to go over there and not one of them "misinterpreted" what was said. Everyone I talked to about these comments (and that ranges from the conservative to to the liberal) has said that what he said was wrong. So for you to sit there on your snooty little high horse and condemn all of us for what we do and who we are is what is truly amazing.

But, since I am so damned stupid, maybe this little quote will bring into perspective just exactly what it is that the members of the military do on a daily basis and just exactly what we think of people like you and John Kerry.

Son, we live in a world that has walls.
And those walls have to be guarded by men
with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly
fathom. My existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.

You don't want the truth. Because deep
down, in places you don't talk about at
parties, you want me on that wall. You need
me on that wall.

We use words like honor, code,
loyalty...we use these words as the
backbone to a life spent defending
something. You use 'em as a punchline.

I have neither the time nor the
inclination to explain myself to a man who
rises and sleeps under the blanket of the
very freedom I provide, then questions the
manner in which I provide it. I'd prefer
you just said thank you and went on your
way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a
weapon and stand a post. Either way, I
don't give a damn what you think you're
entitled to.

First of all, let's make something clear: I didn't condemn the military. That was your concoction (that's typical republican crap - disagree with me, you must hate the troops).

Secondly, the voters have spoken overwhelmingly on Iraq, and they are pissed. Bush was - as he put it - thumped; and for a good reason.

You dismiss the lies as "bad information". Once again, you insult everyone's intelligence. He took every bit of information - good or bad - innuendo, sound bite and furthered his cause without a viable plan, even though reports were out ahead of time that quadrupling the number of troops might not be enough.

And you're angry about a "joke"?

The JOKE is Bush's war plan.

I think your sense of proportion is justifiably ridiculous given the state of affairs in Iraq.

Our president has not served our troops well and would have stayed the course - whatever the hell that may be - unless the voters sent him a stern message.

George Bush is an insult to our troops. John Kerry is a mere side item.

Dude, whatever. You should have hit me with this when it was relevant to me. Instead you wait for over a week and then try to blindside me.

I would love to rip you to shreds some more, but as it stands now, I have more important things in real life to concern myself with so excuse me if I don't continue with this inane dribble that frankly is now old news.

Blindside you? Whatever. The level of discussion from you - or lack thereof - has pretty much limited me to once every week and a half viewing, this being an exception.

It is quite difficult discussing with someone the likes of a cincygreg caliber, but since we've seen an election that has proved you so very wrong, I feel compelled to stress the point that the real national joke is:

Bush's war plan.

To focus on Kerry who misspoke when the leader of the free world uses "stay the course" as an excuse of a "war plan", is seriously funny. To see you harp on Kerry when our brave soldiers are dying because the jerk of a president doesn't want to admit before the election he fucked up so badly is very, very sad.

Kerry's joke hasn't resulted in any lost men. Bush's joke has. About 2,900 at last count.

I don't care where you served, your political arguments do a disservice to the men and women in Iraq.

I'll end with this comment about Bush's war plan:

The definition of an idiot is someone who does the same thing over and over and expects different results.

Take that personally.
