What an absolutely disgraceful thing to say about the people who defend his rights on a daily basis. One can only assume that he finally has shown his true feelings in regards to the military. It's nice to know that one of the leaders of our nation feels that everyone who is (or was) in the military are a bunch of uneducated dolts who are incapable of being smart.
Then to make matters even better (or is it worse I'm not sure since I am so stupid), instead of apologizing he gets all beligerent and starts attacking the Republicans and says that anyone who thinks he is critisizing the troops is crazy.
"If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq -- and not the president who got us stuck there -- they're crazy,"
- John Kerry 10/31/06
It's nice to be considered crazy and stupid (or is it uneducated) by someone who has had everything handed to him his whole life. You know, not everyone can have rich parents who pay to send you to an Ivy League school and then marry into even more money. Some of us actually have to work for a living and we chose a job field that included us fighting (and sometimes dying) so he can have the right to sound like an elitist snob who doesn't give a crap about the "little guy".
I am also going to assume that since he is "one of the voices" of the Democratic party and since no one in the Democratic leadership has stepped up to condemn his statements, one can only conclude that this how the Democratic party feels about the men and women who put their lives on the line day in and day out.
You would think that the other leaders in the Democratic Party would pull him aside and make him apologize for his "botched joke", but, once again, the Dems are showing their complete and utter distain for the men and women who are on the front lines in the battle of freedom.
But, then again what do I know. I'm just uneducated and lazy. John Kerry said so.
